Local author, Kymberli W. Brady officially launched her new children's book The Sleepy Little Star at the Academy of Country Music Awards on May 22, presenting celebrities including Reba McEntire, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Jo Dee Mesinna, Alabama, Trisha Yearwood, Hank Williams Jr., Kid Rock, Willie Nelson, Travis Tritt, Mark Wills, Montgomery Gentry, Diamond Rio, Aaron Tippon, Mark Chesnut and Joe Diffie with a signed copy and a matching Sleepy nightlight.

Following the show, an original copy, filled with the autographs of over 40 of country music's finest was donated to the St. Jude Hospital Country Cares Celebrity Auction. At the conclusion of the auction on May 28, reviews stated that The Sleepy Little Star was one of the most sought after items and went to the highest bidder for just under $300.00.

Additionally, The Sleepy Little Star was featured during a taping of Extra! and over 20 live radio interviews prior to the television event.
