Publisher's Marketing Association presents The Sleepy Little Star with the 2003 Benjamin Franklin award for Book of the Year

During a gala awards dinner at the Wilshire Grand Hotel Wednesday evening, Publishers Marketing Association presented Wendy J. Zinn and Kymberli W. Brady and their children's book The Sleepy Little Star with the coveted 2003 Benjamin Franklin Award for "Book of the Year for Excellence & Innovation in Marketing."

Named in honor of America's most cherished publisher/printer, the Benjamin Franklin Award recognizes excellence in independent publishing, judged on editorial and design merit by top practitioners in each field. This years trophies were awarded to the best books in several categories prior to the opening of Book Expo America.

The Sleepy Little Star is also the recipient of the Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for Children's Literature and has received rave reviews and celebrity endorsements, including Reba McEntire. A coordinating Sleepy nightlight is also available. Plush Sleepy and Papa Moon characters will be making their debut this summer.

Publisher, Wendy Zinn of Kymzinn, Inc. and illustrator Eddie Moreno reside in Santa Clarita. Author Kymberli Brady, a former Santa Clarita resident now lives in San Jose, California.
